Installation

Installing Accelerate takes a couple of minutes and works like any other WordPress plugin. Once connected, data collection starts automatically — there is nothing to embed, tag, or configure on your pages.

WordPress.org install#

  1. Go to the Accelerate plugin page or search for "Altis Accelerate" in the plugin directory inside your WordPress admin.
  2. Install and activate the plugin.
  3. Navigate to Accelerate → Settings.
  4. Select Create your account now to link the site to Accelerate analytics.
  5. Complete the account details in the Accelerate portal. You will be returned to WordPress after the site is connected.

That's it — Accelerate is now collecting analytics for your site.

Composer install#

If your site manages plugins with Composer, install Accelerate with:

text
composer require altis/accelerate

Composer installation reduces dependency duplication and makes the plugin easier to manage in code-driven WordPress projects.

Your first few days#

Your dashboard can look empty on day one. That's normal — Accelerate needs real visits to build rankings and generate useful insights.

Give it a few days of normal traffic before treating the dashboard as representative. Staging and development sites will usually stay sparse because they don't receive enough real visitors.

Settings worth knowing#

Everything below lives under Accelerate → Settings, and each option is a simple toggle you can change at any time:

  • Analytics Dashboard. Replace the default WordPress dashboard with the Accelerate analytics view, so performance is the first thing you and your team see after logging in.
  • Outbound Click Tracking. Record which external sites visitors leave to. Opt-in, and only the destination host is stored — never full URLs or personal data.
  • AI Abilities API. Enable AI agents to read and act on your site data. Requires WordPress 6.9+. See Accelerate AI.
  • Weekly Email Report. Get a summary of your site's performance delivered to your inbox each week — useful if you'd rather be told what changed than go looking.

Managing sites#

Use the Accelerate account portal to manage your account and monitor multiple connected sites from one place.
